George G. “Jerry” Ihms, 74, of Newton died on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at his home in Newton.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.
There will be a lunch following the service at the funeral home for friends to share memories.

Those left to honor George's memory are his nieces and nephews by marriage, Al Williams of Newton, Bryan Healy of Newton, Chris Healy, and Paula Healy. Jerry was a production worker at the Vernon Company for 21 years, retiring in 2007. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
