FORD JUNIOR MOTT DIES SUNDAY; RITES WEDNESDAY

Ford Junior Mott, 45, of 416 1st Ave. E., a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Sunday evening at the Capitol Theatre following an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.

The Rev. Elmer F. Little, Jr., pastor of the West Madison Church of Christ in Des Moines, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Wayne (Nettie) Miller of Newton; a niece Mrs. Michael (Debora) Comstock of Newton, two nephews, Jim Miller of Waterloo and Robert Miller of Loveland, Colo.; and four great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant twin brothers.

Mr. Mott, a member of the Moose Lodge, was employed by the City of Newton.

The son of Lamoine Fordyce and Sylvia Houck Mott, he was born Oct. 17, 1928 at Vandalia and attended Vandalia schools.

He moved to Newton from Vandalia in 1952.
