DR. CARPENTER OF SULLY, DIES
Veteran Jasper County Physician Dies Today; Rites Saturday

SULLY--Dr. O.O. Carpenter, of Sully died this morning at the Mercy hospital in Oskaloosa. Until his health failed about three years ago, Dr. Carpenter had devoted most of his life to the practice of medicine in Sully.

He is survived by his wife, Arletta Howell Carpenter; an only child, Mary Doris Carpenter, of Sully; a brother, Dr. Frank Carpenter of Reasnor; a nephew, Dr. Fred E. Carpenter, of Newton; and a niece, Mrs. H.H. VIctor of Kansas City.

The body will be at the Morgan Funeral home in Newton until noon Friday. Then it will be taken to Sully where the service will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock in the Sully Community church.
