Martha N. (Efnor) McCracken Barr, 89, died on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at the Newton Healthcare Center in Newton.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.
A private family burial will be held at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.
Those left to honor Martha’s memory are her son, Ronald (Mary) McCracken of Amelia Island, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Earl and Flossie (Buckley) Efnor; first husband, Robert H. McCracken in 1962; second husband, Carl Barr in 1995; two brothers and a sister.
Martha worked for many years as a secretary at Dealer’s Warehouse in Newton, retiring in 1981.
Martha was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Newton.
Memorials to the donor’s choice may be left at the funeral home.
