DONALD L. EDWARDS

LA VERNE, Calif. -- Donald L. Edwards, 73, of La Verne, Calif., formerly of Newton, died Friday, July 18 in La Verne, Calif.

Funeral services will be held at a later date. The body was cremated.

The son of Andrew and Theresa (Rose) Edwrads, he was born July 16, 1924, in Kellogg. He graduated from Kellogg High School in 1942.

Mr. Edwards served in the United States Navy. Later he worked for the Maytag Company before moving to California more than 30 years ago.

Survivors include two daughters, Janeana Barcus of Spring, Texas and Judy Vaughn of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Gerald of Grinnell and Paul of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and two sisters, Colleen (Mrs. Robert) Spain of Newton and Dorothy (Mrs. Harold) Hubler of Denver, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nella; and a brother.
