THERESA EDWARDS

KELLOGG -- Theresa "Rose" Lauber Edwards, 86, of Box 94, Kellogg, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died early Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Colonial Manors in Baxter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton.

The Rev. H. Eugene Cedarholm, pastor of the Newton First Lutheran Church, will conduct services.

The Rev. A.L. Schulz, pastor of the St. Paul's
Lutheran Church in Kellogg, will conduct graveside rites at Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.

Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions to Progress Industries Transportation Fund or the Kellogg Historical Society will be accepted.

Survivors are four sons, Gerald of Kellogg, Donald of Laverne, Calif., Everett of Newton and Paul of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two daughters, Colleen (Mrs. Robert) Spain of Newton and Dorothy (Mrs. Harold) Hubler of Denver, Colo.; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elsie Wheeler of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Andrew in 1951, a daughter, Barbara in infancy, three brothers and a sister.

Mrs. Edwards was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kellogg, American Legion Auxiliary and Kellogg Senior Citizens Group.

She had been a housekeeper at Grinnell College and worked at Midwest Manufacturing in Kellogg.

The daughter of George Phillip and Elizabeth Barbara Diehm Lauber, she was born April 1, 1901 in Rock Creek.

She was married to Andrew Edwards Aug. 20, 1921.
