A.E. EDWARDS DIES IN KELLOGG, FUNERAL FRIDAY

KELLOGG (Special) -- Andrew Emmet Edwards, 65, Kellogg resident who worked in Newton, died at his home here Tuesday afternoon after an illness of about two months.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock at St. Paul's American Lutheran church in Kellogg, Rev. Carlton F. Rohr officiating. Burial will be in Our Silent City cemetery at Kellogg.

The body will lie in state at the Johnson-Murdoch Funeral Home in Kellogg until 10 o'clock tomorrow morning at which time it will be taken to the church.

Mr. Edwards was born Jan. 18, 1886, in Lovilia to Mr. and Mrs. George I. Edwards. He received his education in Monroe county, moved to Newton in 1916 and to Kellogg in 1922.

On Aug. 20, 1921, he was married to Theresa Lauber in Newton. He was employed at the Maytag Co. where he was a machinist and a member of the 25-Year club. He also belonged to the American Legion post at Kellogg.

Survivors are his widow; four sons, Gerald who is in the Marines, Donald and Paul of Kellogg and Everett of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Spain of Reasnor and Mrs. Harold Hubler of Kellogg; one sister, Mrs. William Ham of Newton, and one brother, Clarence of Peoria, Ill.
