April 24, 1941 Jasper Co. Record Baxter, Iowa - Funeral services were held for Mrs. Edward Patterson, who died Friday, April 11th at the home of her son, Clyde, at Newton, Monday, April 14th in Baxter. Burial in Restland Cemetery. Jennie Nancy Jeffers Patterson was born in Ohio on December 9, 1869 and was 71 years 4 months and 2 days old when she died.

She was married May 29, 1888. 10 children were born to this union, 9 still living. Claude died in 1916. Mr. Patterson died in 1935. She has 59 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters still live. Mary Nicodemus of Sac City, Clara Beals of Baxter, Charley of Alliance, Nebraska, Tom of California, and Walter of Colorado. Although bedfast for eight weeks, she was kind and patient till the end.
