Wilma Modlin, 76, formerly of Newton, died on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at the Taylor House in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held today, Friday, Sept. 26, at the Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Ark.
Survivors include her son, Raymond J. (Ruby) Modlin of Des Moines, and her daughter, RoseAnn (James J.) Baker of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. O. Jr. Modlin in 2002.

She was born February 10th, 1932 in McRae, Arkansas to the late Joseph and Margie Hughes Curd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W.O. Modlin, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Ann Baker, (James) of Newton, Iowa, a son, Raymond Modlin, (Ruby) of Des Moines, Iowa; a granddaughter, Stacy Monroe, (Craig) of Ames, Iowa, grandson, Kirk Baker, (Sara) of Newton, Iowa, two great-grandsons, Alexander and Aidan Monroe, of Ames, Iowa, and a great-granddaughter, Patricia Baker of Newton, Iowa, five brothers, Vernon, James, Floyd, Lonnie, and Ervin Curd, four sisters, Edna Lee, Margie Whitt, Geraldine Curd, and Martha Deppe, other in-laws, nieces and nephews in Iowa, many other relatives and friends.
