Gearold Wyatt Service to Be Held Thursday

KELLOGG - Funeral services for Gearold E. Wyatt, 52, a resident of Kellogg since 1951, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.

The Rev. Phillip Ewoldsen of Cedar Rapids, the Rev. Charles Fry of Garwin and the Rev. David Barnes of Des Moines will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 0 a.m. Wednesday.

Survivors are his wife, Hester; two sons, Gene Wyatt of Jacksonville, Fla., and Keith Wyatt at home; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Patricia) Riemen-Schneider of State Center and Jayne Wyatt, at home; two granddaughters; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Rohrdanz of Marshalltown; two sisters, Mrs. William (Charity) John of Marshalltown; and Mrs. Elmer (Arlene) Seeley of Newton; a brother, Lyle Wyatt of Galesburg; a sister-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn Guessford of Kellogg; and a former mother-in-law, Mrs. Lorella Rempp of Montezuma.

He was preceded in death by his father; his first wife, Glema Rempp in 1955; and a brother, Bob.

Mr. Wyatt was a member of the Kellogg Christian Church for which he had served as treasurer and elder.

Mr. Wyatt, a Navy veteran of World War II, was employed as an accountant at the Midwest Division of Smith, Jones, Inc. of Kellogg.

The son of Welcome and Minnie Allfree Wyatt, he was born Sept. 22, 1922, at West Des Moines and was a graduate of Newton Community High School.

He was married to Hester Elizabeth Guessford Sept. 9, 1956 in Kellogg. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, August 1975
