Harold W. Bohall

Harold Wesley Bohall, 81, of 1005 E. 10th St. S., died Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Skiff Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Willman Funeral Home in Rodney. Burial will be in Smithland Cemetery in Smithland.

Visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reese Funeral Home.

Survivors are his wife, Lola; three sons, Gregory Bohall of Rt. 3, Newton; Dwayne Groat of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Robert K. Miller of Waterloo; two daughters, Patricia Fryrear of Bowling Green, Mo., and Carla M. Sutton of Newton; 19 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of the Newton Christian Church and former member of the Moose Lodge.

A trucker, he had been employed by Peters Construction Co., and the Vernon CO.

The son of James Wesley and Bertha Cory Bohall, he was born Feb. 18, 1912 in Missouri Valley.

He was married to Lola Berka Oct. 14, 1944 in Council Bluffs.

Mr. Bohall, an Army veteran, came to Newton from Smithland in 1984. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, September 1993
