Glenda Jean Gravitt Braden, 56, of Rt. 2, Newton, a resident of Newton for several years, died Saturday, Aug. 21, at her home.

Graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa.

The Rev. Max Johnson, pastor of the Oskaloosa Assembly of God, will conduct services.

Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Home in Oskaloosa is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are her mother, Laura Gravitt of Oskaloosa; and a brother, Donald Gravitt of Oskaloosa.

Mrs. Braden, a retired assembler at the Maytag Co., was a member of Oskaloosa Assembly of God.

The daughter of Glen O. and Laura Allgood Gravitt, she was born July 15, 1937 at Iowa City and was a 1955 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, August 1993
