PRAIRIE CITY - Graveside rites for Josephine Winegar Briles, 95, a lifelong resident of Prairie City, were held Sunday, Sept. 19, at Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.

The Rev. Robert Price, pastor of the Prairie City Christian Church, conducted services.

Memorials to the Clearview Manor activity fund may be left at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.

Mrs. Briles died Friday at Clearview Manor in Prairie City.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and John Shuey of Prairie City; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas, four brothers, Jess, Will, Charlie and Roy Winegar, and three sisters, Dessie, Maude and Grace.

The daughter of David and Mary Breckenridge Winegar, she was born July 21, 1898 in Prairie City.
