MONROE - Funeral services for Ethel May Bricker, 87, of Monroe will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe.

The Rev. Rick Cowman of Pella and the Rev. Ken Lowe, pastor of the Prairie City Faith Baptist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

Friends may call at the funeral home today and visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors are two sisters, Lorena (Mrs. Murray) Van Hemert of Otley and Fern Allard of Knoxville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

The daughter of Emmert Calvin and Lenora May Lofton Bricker, she was born July 24, 1906 in Monroe. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, December 1993
