Beth (Firman) Murphy Schild, 93, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Newton, died Sept. 20, 2007, at TimberRidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ocala, Fla.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the United Presbyterian Church in Newton with the Rev. Don Freeman officiating. The family will greet friends after the service with a lunch at the church. Burial will be at the Newton Union Cemetery.

The Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton is in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of Albert and Bertha (Miles) Firman, she was born Aug. 1, 1914, in Springdale, Ark. She was united in marriage to Marcus A. Schild.

Survivors include her husband, Marcus A. Schild of Ocala, Fla.; two stepchildren, John (Jennifer) Schild of Fort Dodge and Beverly (Don) Muyskens of Clearwater, Fla.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Isobel (Carlos) Walker of Ocala, Fla.; three godchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
