PRAIRIE CITY — Ruth Maxine McFadden, 77, of Prairie City died Aug. 18, 2007, at her home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Prairie City United Methodist Church in Prairie City with burial following at Waveland Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Prairie City United Methodist Church Building Fund or the American Heart Association.

The daughter of Walter and Lillian (Kehl) Holck, Ruth was born on Feb. 10, 1930, in Kanawha. Ruth graduated from Kanawha High School and attended Waldorf College.

On Jan. 26, 1957, she was united in marriage to Lawrence McFadden in Kanawha. She was a member of the Prairie City United Methodist Church, T.T.T., United Methodist Women, and MNO Club. Ruth especially enjoyed attending her grandkids’ activities.

Those left to honor her memory are her children and grandchildren, Virginia (Terry) Golubiewski of Marengo and their children, Ashley Newman, Cheyenne Newman and Dylan Golubiewski; Laura (Galen) Montag of Nora Springs and their children Shawn Montag and Kristen Montag; and Susan McFadden of West Des Moines; two sisters, LaVonne Smidt and Dee (Don) Verbrugge, both of Kanawha.

Preceding Ruth in death was her husband, Lawrence, in 2002.
