DES MOINES — Laura “Nancy” Cisna, 86, formerly of Newton, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Union Park Health Care Center.

Nancy was born in Little York, Ill., and had lived in Burlington, Mt. Union, Newton, and most recently in the Des Moines area. During the 30 years she lived in Newton, she worked at the Newton Library and for many years as a Jasper County homemaker health aide. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Tri-T and Eastern Star.

Survivors include Harold E. Cisna of Camdenton, Mo.; four daughters, Karen (Norm) Fort of Filmore, Calif., Sandra Agvald of Minneapolis, Minn., Debi (Gary) Crews of West Des Moines, and Kim Thompson of Des Moines; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
