LYNNVILLE - Funeral services for Vivian Williams Beason, 74, of the Montezuma Senior Home, a longtime resident of Lynnville, were held today, Jan. 4, at the Lynnville Friends Church.

The Rev. Marvin Miller, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery in Lynnville.

Visitation with the family was held Monday at the Harden Funeral Home in New Sharon.

She died Friday at the Montezuma Senior Home.

Survivors are three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Carol of Oskaloosa, Roger and Rita of Searsboro and Darrell and Michelle of Sully; a daughter and son-in-law, Viola and Fred Metz of Newton; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette Braaksma of Lynnville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold Franklin, March 26, 1992, a daughter, Shirley, in infancy, and a sister, Gladys Beason.

Mrs. Beason, a homemaker and a cook at the Lynnville School for several years, was a member of the Lynnville Friends Church.

The daughter of Harry G. and Lota Gause Williams, she was born Oct. 10, 1919 near Lynnville.

She was married to Harold Franklin Beason Jan. 7, 1937 near Taintor and was a 1936 graduate of Lynnville High School. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, December 1993
