Ester m. Bish
Ester M. Sanderson Bish, 92, of 604 N. 3rd Ave. E., a lifelong resident of Newton, died Sunday morning, Nov. 22, at the Skiff Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Reese Chapel.
The Rev. Robert Shaw, pastor of the United Pentecostal Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Friday until time of services.
Memorials to the Skiff Medical Center Auxiliary will be accepted.
Survivors are a step-daughter, Beatrice (Mrs. Albert) Butler of Newton; two step-granddaughters; and a step-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carl, in 1962.
Mrs. Bish was a self-employed seamstress.
The daughter of Will and Etta Sanderson, she was born Dec. 3, 1899 in Newton and attended Newton schools.
She was married to Carl L. Bish in 1929 in Newton. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, November 1992
