DES MOINES - Arthur Paul Schultz, 89, of Sherman Hills Care Center in Des Moines, uncle of a number of Jasper County residents, including Ruth (Mrs. Jimmie) Small of Newton, died Monday evening, Aug. 26, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines of complications of pneumonia.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton.

The Rev. Jerry Brown, senior pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will conduct services.

Cremation will be held following funeral services.

Friends may call at Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines from 2 p.m. today until noon Thursday and at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, August 1991
