MAXWELL - Norma Jean Phillips Ratzlaff, 66, of 815 White Rock Drive, Maxwell, sister of Walter Phillips of Newton, died Sunday evening, Sept. 18 at the Story County Hospital in Nevada.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Maxwell Christian Church.

The Rev. Jerry Groves, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Maxwell Cemetery.

Friends may call at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton after noon Tuesday and visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorials in her name will be accepted.

Also surviving are her husband, two sons and a daughter-in-law, a daughter and six grandchildren. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, September 1994
