Funeral services for Roy Walter Usher, 19-day-old son of Mark Usher and Melissa Hall of rural Newton, were held today, Jan. 3, at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

The Rev. Tom Pals, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Albert Lea, Minn., conducted services.

Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea, Minn.

Memorials in his name will be accepted.

He died Thursday evening, Dec. 29, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center of Des Moines of congenital heart defect.

Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Lon and Rebecca Hall of Albert Lea, Minn.; and several uncles and aunts.
