CHARITON - Catharine E. Stroud, 87, of Chariton, mother of Barbara Wignall and Rosemary Mc Kinstry, both of Newton, died Saturday, Nov. 14, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chariton.

Father Bernard Gottner, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Chariton.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton and visitation will be held after the rosary.

Also surviving are her husband, Delbert, another daughter, four sons, 30 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, a sister and four brothers. - The Newton (IA) Daily News, November 1992
