Hazel M. Stanley, 82, of Grinnell died of Alzheimer's disease Sunday at Friendship Manor, Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home, and burial will be in Westfield Cemetery south of Grinnell.

Mrs. Stanley, a homemaker, was born in Jasper County.

She is survived by two sons, Max of Albion and Virgil of Truro; a daughter, Linda Ficek of Center Point; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association or Westfield Cemetery. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register, January 1995
