ANAMOSA - Funeral services for Anna Sanderman, 93, of Anamosa, a former resident of Baxter, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, at the Bethany United Church of Christ, east of Baxter.

The Rev. Jerry Stevenson, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Bethany Church.

Memorial contributions to the church may be left at the Body-Davis Funeral Home in Baxter.

Visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.

She died Monday evening at the Anamosa Hospital in Anamosa.

Survivors are a daughter, Verona (Mrs. Cliff) Dirks of Wyoming, Ia.; and four grandchildren, Patricia Ann Dirks of San Clemente, Calif., and Angela Marie, Cythia (typed as written in origianl obituary) and Craig Dirks of Wyoming, Ia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Otta, a brother and two sisters.

The daughter of August and Louise Krampe Klemme, she was born March 4, 1893 in Jasper County and attended rural Jasper County schools.

She was married Nov. 24, 1913 in Jasper County.

Following their marriage, the Sandermans farmed near Baxter until moving to Baxter where her husband operted a farm implement dealership for more than 40 years. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, May 1986
