Roy Lull

Roy Lull, 67, of 415 1st Ave. E., a resident of Newton since 1977, died of a heart attack Tuesday evening, April 22, at the Skiff Medical Center.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

The Reverend E. William Kaska, pastor of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the cemetery in Paterson.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Thursday. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions to a fund in Mr. Lull's name may be left at the funeral home.

Survivors are his wife Carmen Sue; three sons, Steven, Darin and Dustin, all of St. Charles; three step-sons, Stephen Ezell, Michael Ezell and Andrew Ezell, all of Mount Vernon, Ill.; three step-daughters, Cynthia Main and Kim (Mrs. James) Anderson, both of Newton and Allison Chance of Nevada; four grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three brothers, Rex Lull and Robert "Pete" Lull Jr., both of Martensdale, and Lloyd Lull of Prole; and a sister, Mary Jo (Mrs. Max) Tucker of Maxburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Teresa, and a brother, Clyde.

Mr. Lull, an Army veteran of World War II, had been employed by Mc Cracken and Van Zomeren Construction Co., as a carpenter.

The son of a Robert and Blanche Hyzer Lull, he was born April 7, 1919 in Paterson and was graduated from Patterson high school.

He was married to Carmen Sue Bravard Ezell Dec. 29, 1973 in Paterson. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, April 1986
