DAVENPORT - Randall W. Larsen, 41, of Davenport, a former resident of Newton, died Sunday, April 1, at Mercy Hospital in Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today at Mc Ginnis, Chambers, Sass Funeral Home in Bettendorf.

Graveside rites will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rock Island, Ill., National Cemetery.

Memorials to the West Davenport Church of God may be left at the funeral home.

Survivors are his wife, Vickie; two step-sons, Billy Joe of Huxley and Bob of Nashua; a step-daughter, Tonya Sue of Charles City; his parents, Lester and Onie Larsen of Marengo; a brother, Jeff of Nashville, Tenn.; and three sisters, Carolyn Logan of Mitchellville, Debbie Eckert of Wilton and Lori Brecht of South Amana.

He was a member of the West Davenport Church of God and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He served in the Army during the Vietnam War, receiving the National Defense Service medal, Vietnam service medal and Vietnam conflict medal.

He was employed for 10 years by the Iowa Interstate Railroad.

The son of Lester and Onie Walks Larsen, he was born June 11, 1948 in Iowa City.

He was married to Vickie Griffin July 19, 1986 in Newton. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, April 1990
