Bessie Lindberg

Bessie Harris Lindberg, 87, a resident of Newton Health Care Center for 15 years, died today, June 14, at the Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

Burial will be in our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Sunday. Visitation with the family will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors are two sons, Morris Stark of Avalon, Calif., and Delbert Stark of Newton; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Albert.

Mrs. Lindberg, a homemaker, was a former member of the Kellogg Order of Eastern Star.

The daughter of Ernest and Luella Harris, she was born may 15, 1904 in Grinnell.

She was married to Albert Lindberg in the early 1940s in Kellogg.

Mrs. Lindberg was a resident of Kellogg for 30 years prior to moving to the Health Care Center. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, June 1991
