PELLA - Anna Rebecca Ferguson Wing, 95, a longtime former resident of Colfax, died Monday, May 17, at the Pella Community Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wing, who had resided at Fair Haven West in Pella since 1987, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Colfax First Baptist Church.

The Rev. Jerry Harris, pastor of the church, will conduct services and burial will be in Mc Keever Cemetery, north of Colfax.

Friends may call after noon Wednesday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax and visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials to the Colfax First Baptist Church will be accepted.

Survivors are four sons, Loren and Walter, both of Colfax, Gale of Pella and jack of Winter Park, Fla.; a daughter, Betty Metcalf of Knoxville; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a half-sister, Lela Sharp of Sioux City.

Mrs. Wing was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter Leroy, in 1974, two brothers, a sister, two half-sisters and two half-brothers.

She was a member of the Colfax First Baptist Church.

The daughter of Walter and Daily Snow Ferguson, she was born Oct. 2, 1987 (typed as written in original obituary-probably should be 1898 if she was 95) in Shelby County, Mo.

She lived in northern Missouri as well as Marion and Jasper Counties.

She was married to Walter Leroy Wing Oct. 6, 1915 in Atlanta, Mo. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, May 1993
