W. John Wilson

Graveside rites for W. John Wilson, 82, of 624 E. 24th St. S., a resident of Newton since 1945, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 16, at the Newton Memorial park Cemetery.

The Rev. Eugene Bucklin pastor of the Baxter Evangelical Free Church, will conduct services.

Friends may call at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home after noon today.

Memorials to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association will be accepted.

He died Wednesday at the Newton Health Care Center.

Surviving is his wife, Wilma.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James.

Mr. Wilson was a foreman of assembly at the Parson Co., when he retired in 1972.

The son of W. P. and Maggie Williamson Wilson, he was born Dec. 6, 1910 in Tama County.

He was married to Wilma Mc Keever Sept. 17, 1952 in Shakopee, Minn. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, July 1993
