George A. Stephenson

WAVERLY - George A. Stephenson, 88, of 320 3rd Ave. N.W., father of Thomas E. Stephenson of Newton, died Sunday morning, Oct. 3, at the Waverly Municipal Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kaiser-Corso Chapel in Waverly.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.

Memorials to St. Paul's Renewal Fund or the American Heart Association will be accepted.

Also surviving are a daughter-in-law, Sally Stephenson of Newton; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, October 1993
