BRANDYWINE, Md. - Funeral services for Mary Ann Muck Slaybaugh, 59, of Brandywine, Md., a former resident of Colfax, were held today, Nov. 22, at the Huntt Funeral home in Waldorf.

The Rev. James H. Farmer conducted services and burial was in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, Md.

Mrs. Slaybaugh, who was secretary to Dan Krumm, president of the Maytag co., in Newton and administrative assistant to the postmaster in Des Moines, died Wednesday at Southern Maryland Hospital.

Survivors are her husband, Leslie C.; a daughter, Lynda Rinaldo of Waldorf, Md.; two sons, Leslie and Lawrence C., both of Brandywine, Md.; and five grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mary Moffitt of Newton, Myrna Bunn of Colfax and Martha Mullihan of Collins; and a brother, Bill Muck of Coal Valley, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.

The daughter of William Robert and Agnes Hummel Muck, she was born Aug. 14, 1934 in Colfax and was a graduate of Colfax community High School.

She was a member of the Clinton, Md., United Methodist Church. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, November 1993
