Ramona White, 78, of Newton died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at her home.

Services will be Tuesday, May 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. *

Ramona “Mona” Lee Crider White, the daughter of LeRoy and Arletta Lucille (Jordan) Crider, was born September 22, 1928, in Clinton, Iowa. She graduated from Clinton Sr. High School with the class of 1947.

On April 8, 1950, Mona was united in marriage with Keith Leon White in Clinton, Iowa. She worked for the Maytag Company, retiring in 1989 from Tool and Dye after 39 years. She was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Mona loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She always enjoyed traveling to the casino and showing off her dancing shoes.

Ramona died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at her home in Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Keith, in 1986; her sister, Darlene Leab; and a brother in infancy.

Those left to honor Mona’s memory include her daughter, Karol Davis of Kellogg, Iowa; her granddaughter, Jennifer Davis of Ankeny, Iowa; her grandson, Erik Davis of Newton, Iowa; her sisters, Evelyn Haferbier of Sabula, Iowa, Marion Hebdon of Clinton, Iowa, Lillian McKenrick of Camanche, Iowa; and her many friends.
