Visitation: The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. and immediately following the Vigil Service on Thursday, June 07, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1115 S. 8th Ave. E. in Newton.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m., Friday, June 08, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1115 S. 8th Ave. E. in Newton. Vigil Service: 7 p.m., Thursday, June 07, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment: Immediately following the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 08, 2007 at the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton.

Those left to honor Arlene's memory include her daughter, Linda (and Ronald) Williams of Lynnville; her two sons, Robert E. (and Judy) Cass of Newton and David (and Kathy) Cass of Prescott Valley, Arizona; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and her brother-in-law, Francis Malloy of Kirksville, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor W. and Anna M. (Kriegel) Strand; husband, Robert in December of 2006; grandson, William T. Cass in infancy; three brothers, Marvin, Richard J. and Robert James Strand; two sisters, Velma Castorf and Nora Malloy and two sisters in infancy, Ellen M. and Anna Bell Strand.

Arlene was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; and VFW Post 1655 Ladies Auxiliary.

Arlene loved having all her grandchildren around. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, being a Poll Setter at election time, and she loved animals.

MEMROIALS to Hospice of Jasper County or to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League and Humane Society. Memorials may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home or at the church on the morning of the service.
