Eldo Reid

ITASCA, Ill. - Memorial services for Eldo Reid, 225 S. Home Ave., Itasca, Ill. 60143, a former resident of Newton, were held Sunday afternoon, Dec. 30, at the Itasca Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Rob of Eau Cliare, Wis., and David of El Paso, Texas; a daughter, Susan Reid-O`Malley of Chicago, Ill.; his mother, Esther Reid of Bettendorf; and a sister, Emogene Efnor Pettit of Bettendorf.

Mr. Reed, who died Thursday, was preceded in death by his father, Emmet Reid.

He was married to Helen Goff Aug. 16, 1953 in Woodward.

Mr. Reid, a graduate of Newton Community High School and Iowa State University in Ames, taught industrial arts in the Dayton, Rolling Hills, Ill., and Elk Grove, Ill., schools before his retirement in 1988.
