Bernadean Thomas

Bernadean Thomas, 76, of the Newton Health Care Center, a resident of Newton since 1926, died Monday morning, Sept. 9, at the care center of heart failure.

Cremation followed.

No services will be held. Burial will be in Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Wallace-Pence Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willard, May 1, 1975, and a sister, Geraldine Erickson, Feb. 5, 1989.

Mrs. Thomas, a former telephone company employee, had been a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Newton.

The daughter of Frank and Adeline Hill Conn, she was born April 2, 1915 in Fort Dodge.

She was married to Willard E. Thomas Oct. 15, 1933 in Kanssas City, Mo. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, September 1991.
