Hope A. Teater

Hope Ava Hensely Teater, 89, a resident of Newton for the past 10 years, died of a respiratory ailment Wednesday, Dec. 2, at the Skiff Medical Center.

A Centerville funeral home will be in charge of arrangements which have not been completed.

Burial will be in Concord Cemetery near Centerville.

Survivors are a daughter, Theola (Mrs. Ronald) Landgrebe of Newton; two grandchildren, Dennis Landgrebe and Sherry (Mrs. Don) Puetz, both of Newton; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

Mrs. Teater was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Theodore, and a twin brother, Hall Hensley.

The daughter of Leonard and Ella Hensley, she was born Oct. 23, 1903 in the Centerville area.

She was married to Theodore Teater Oct. 25, 1933.

Mrs. Teater, a member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville, resided most of her life in the Centerville area. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily news, December 1992
