OSKALOOSA - Funeral services for Cody L. Nikkel, three-month-old son of Martin and Kimberly Nikkel of Oskaloosa, were held today, Jan. 28, at Pella Christian reformed church.

Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.

The child died Friday at the Pella Ccommunity Hospital.

Survivors, besides his parents, are a brother, Seth, 2; his maternal grandparents, Stan and Jan Funston Cedar Rapids; his paternal grandparents, Bernie M. and Lenora Nikkel of Sully; his maternal great-grandparents Francis and Viola Teslow of Decorah; and his paternal great-grandmother, Wilma Van Rees of Pella.

The son of Martin and Kimberly Funston Nikkel, the child was born Oct. 10, 1990 in Oskaloosa. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, January 1991
