COLFAX - Funeral services for Mary Rush Thompson, 91, a life long resident of Colfax, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Wallace-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. Thomas Carpe, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, will conduct services.

Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thompson died Wednesday at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Survivors are a daughter, Gloria Nordskow of Colfax; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

The daughter of Charles and Minnie Ulrich Rush, she was born Feb. 13, 1903 in Colfax. She was a 1922 graduate of Colfax Community High School.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, January 1995
