Lyle J. Pulley, 84, of Sun City, Ariz., and Newton died of cancer Monday in Peoria, Ariz. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton, with burial at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing.
Mr. Pulley was born in Beresford, S. D., and moved to Newton in 1974 after living in Mingo, Valaria and Zearing. He was a winter resident of Arizona for 24 years. A retired grain elevator owner, he was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Newton Elks Club, Mingo American Legion and Sacred Heart and Sun City's Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Churches.
Surviving are his wife, Frances; and a sister, Norene Tisdale of Zearing.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at the church, where the family will greet friends following a 7:30 p.m. wake service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Church, the Alzheimer's Disease Association or United Parkinson's Foundation.
