Maude Plummer Dies Tuesday, Rites Friday

Mrs. Clyde A. (E. Maude) Plummber, 84, a resident of Newton for 31 years, died Tuesday evening at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home.

The Rev. Stan Wierson, associate pastor of the first United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Wallace Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Thursday.

Survivors are a daughter-in-law, Darlene Plummer of Colfax; a grandson; two granddaughters; and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Boyer of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1964; a son, Kenneth; two sisters and a brother.

Mrs. Plummer was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Writers Club and the Jasper County Senior Citizens.

The daughter of Wellington and Mary M. Wycoff Wadsworth, she was born February 8, 1894 at Grand River.

She was married June 2, 1917 at Mystic. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, June 1978
