Frieda Pohlman

MINGO - Funeral services for Frieda M. Dahl Pohlman, 70, a resident of Mingo since 1955, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the United Church of Ira.

The Rev. Mike Orthel, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery, northeast of Mingo.

Memorials to the church will be accepted.

She died Wednesday at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

Survivors are her husband, Leo; two sons, Larry of Nevada and Mark of Mingo; a sister, Linda Sweeney of Ames; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Also surviving are two brothers, Carl Dahl and Earl Doll (typed as written in obit), both of Ottawa; and two sisters, Minnie Blume and Erma Hargrove, both of Mapleton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Mrs. Pohlman, a homemaker, was a member of the United Church of Ira.

The daughter of Gale and Alice Barnes Dahl, she was born Sept. 24, 1920 in Mapoleton and was graduated from Ute High School.

She was married to Leo Pohlman July 17, 1942 in Dakota City, Neb. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, October 1991
