GRINNELL - Funeral services for Merl L. "Bud" Pagel, 62, of Rt. 4, Grinnell, father of Robin M. Wilcox of Newton, were held Monday morning, Aug. 13, at the Grinnell Christian Church.

The Rev. John Epperson, pastor of the church, conducted services. Cremation followed services.

Memorials to a fund in his name will be accepted.

Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell was in charge of arrangements.

He died Friday at Friendship Manor in Grinnell of cancer.

Also surviving are his wife, his mother, two sons, three other daughters and nine grandchildren.

Mr. Pagel was a former employee of Midwest Washing Machine Co. of Kellogg. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, August 1990
