OSKALOOSA - Carroll D. Van Wyk, 57, of Oskaloosa, a former resident of Sully, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Storm Lake following a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Oskaloosa. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Leighton.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors are his wife, Marilyn; three sons, Kevin of Pella, Kerwin of Montezuma and Kenrick of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; and five grandchildren.

Also surviving are his parents, Louis aned Christine Van Wyk of Pella; two brothers, Daniel and Nelson, both of Pella; and a sister, Marilou Houk of Pella.

Mr. Van Wyk, an insurance broker, was owner of Van Wyk Brokerage and Communications in Oskaloosa.

He was a member of the Mahaska County chapter of the American Red Cross, was the county disaster services chairman and was a member of the Oskaloosa Chamber of Commerce.

He was born in Sully and has resided in Oskaloosa since 1959. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, October 1992
