Monday Rites For Richard Strovers, 98, Kellogg Resident

Funeral Services were held Monday at Newton for longtime Kellogg resident Richard Strovers, 98.

Officiating at the services was the Rev. Charles Fry, pastor of the Kellogg Christian church. Vocal music was provided by the Rev. Hilton Griswold, accompanied by Mrs. Mable Veber at the organ.

Pallbearers were Alvertus and William Morris, Howard Guthrie, Fred Baldwin, James Roth and Chuck Doane. Interment was in Our Silent City cemetery at Kellogg.

submitter's note: Richard Strovers was the son of Garrett and Lucretia (Johnson) Strovers. Richard was married on November 5, 1887 to Alice Veber, daughter of Luther and Mary (Close) Veber.
