Charlie Veber Dies Wednesday

Charlie J. Veber, long-time resident of Kellogg, died Wednesday morning at a local hospital.

Born in 1904, Veber would have been 54 on Aug. 29. He was the son of William J. and Tena Marie Veber.

He had been a county employee for nearly 30 years. Veber also served several terms on the Kellogg city council.

He married Edith Smith at Earlham in 1934. Two sons, Dale and Craig, and one daughter, Donna, were born to this union.

He is survived by his wife and children, his father, two brothers, Max of Kellogg, and Earl of Phoenix, Ariz., and one sister, Ila, of Lowden, Iowa.

Preceding him in death were his mother, one brother and one sister.

Services will be held Saturday afternoon, July 12, at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Newbrough of Kellogg officiating.

Burial will be in Our Silent City cemetery in Kellogg.
