TERRE HAUTE - Georgia L. Hohnbaum Jones, 56, of Terre Haute, Ind., a former Newton resident, died Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at Hughes Funeral Home in Terre Haute.

The Rev. J. Stanley Howell will conduct services and burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery in Terre Haute.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors are her husband, Donald M., of Terre Haute; four daughters, Deborah Grayson of Las Vegas, Nev., Theresa Schrier of Des Moines, Karen Sudbrock of Des Moines and Laurie Anthony of Newton; her mother, Lucille Hohnbaum of Lindsberg, Kan.; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Jerry Hohnbaum of North Platte, Neb., and Bill Hohnbaum of Mc Pherson, Kan., and a sister, Gayle Apple of Hasting, Neb.

Mrs. Jones was executive director of the Vigo County Historical Society in Terre Haute and was active in various volunteer organizations.

The daughter of Kenneth and Lucille Downer Hohnbaum, she was born July 28, 1934 in York, Neb. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, February 1991
