SEATTLE, Wash. - Memorial services for Kendall R. "Rick" Johnson, 38, of Seattle, Wash., a former Jasper County resident, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the United Presbyterian Church.

The Rev. Scott Coulter, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials to the Iowa Interfaith Aids Network may be left or mailed to the United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors are his parents, Kenneth and Shirley Johnson of Kellogg; a brother, Timothy Johnson of Lanhorne, Pa.; and two nieces, Rae Marie and Dana Johnson, borh of Langhorne, Pa.

Mr. Johnson, a member of the Teamsters Union, had worked at the Des Moines Register until 1977 when he joined Northwest Airlines in Seattle.

He was born Aug. 16, 1952 in Topeka, Kan., was a 1971 graduate of Newton Community High School and attended Northeast Missouri State University at Kirksville, Mo., and the University of Iowa at Iowa City. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, October 1990
