Bill Jenkins

LAUREL - Bill Jenkins, 65, of Laurel and Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Newton, died Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Mesa Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, Az.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Prayer Funeral Home in Mesa, Az.

Survivors are his wife, Vivian; two sons, Bill Jenkins of Texas and Jim Jenkins of Newton; a daughter, Sarah Jane Preston of Myrtle Beach, N. C. four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Patrick Jenkins of Indianola.

Mr. Jenkins, a supervisor at the Maytag Co. had retired in 1982 after 32 years of service.

Mr. Jenkins, an Army veteran, had resided in Arizona every winter since 1982.

The son and Son (typed as written) Fern Jenkins, he was born in Novinger, Mo., and attended Newton schools. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, January 1991
