PRAIRIE CITY - Linda Kay Hinckley Mc Reynolds, 49, a lifelong resident of Prairie City, died of Lou Gehrig's Disease today, Aug. 31, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Prairie City United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Reg Merrill, pastor of the church, will conduct services.
Burial wil be in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.
Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.
Memorials to the church, Central Iowa Hospice or the Muscular Dystrophy Association may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors are her husband, Melvin; two daughtesr and sons-in-law, Melissa and Scott Eilander of Prairie City and Marla and Joe Lippman of Maryville, Mo.; a granddaughter; her parents, Lyle and Alice Hickley of Prairie City; and a sister, Carolyn (Mrs. Michael) Danley of Urbandale.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David.
Mrs. Mc Reynolds was a member of the Prairie City United Methodist Church, the Rebekah Lodge, the Jaycettes and the Prairie City Ambulance Crew.
She was associated with her husband in the operation of the Star Oil Co. in Prairie City and was an employee of the First Star Bank of Des Moines in the cash managment department.
The daughter of Lyle and Alice Fellner Hinckley, she was born Nov. 6, 1943 in Prairie City.
She was a 1962 graduate of Prairie City Community High School.
She was married to Melvin Mc Reynolds Nov. 21, 1962 in Prairie City. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, August 1993
